On the basis of this theory, which was considered as “humanitarian interference” and today is called “responsibility to protect”, if a government suppress its nation and by egregious infringing of their fundamental rights commits organized crimes like massacre, the international community has responsibility to protect that nation. This context is not in contrast with Islamic teaches at all and Islam, by emphasizing on human dignity and preparing a comprehensive program for guidance and mundane and unworldly happiness of human, has made the issue of protecting the oppressed a vital subject without considering their various beliefs and it has not only utilized its protection from poor people against cruelty but also spread it to the border of defending of human’s nature and his reasonable life. Therefore, the theory of responsibility to protect is comparable with some examples of “Islamic Jihad”. The philosophy of Jihad in Islam is not an armed war or territorial development or colonizing, but it is any attempt to develop holy godly aims and fight to spread Islamic equality and remove polytheism and idolatry, and also protect eternity of Islamic community or some Muslims and defend their lordship. <em>مسئولیت جامعه بین­المللی در حمایت از حقوق اساسی بشر به یکی از موضوعات جدی حقوق بین­الملل تبدیل شده است. بر اساس این نظریه که قبلاً با عنوان «مداخله بشردوستانه» تعبیر می شد و امروزه به «مسئولیت حمایت» موسوم است؛ چنانچه حکومتی ملت خود را سرکوب و با نقض فاحش حقوق بنیادین آن، مرتکب جرایم سازمان یافته از جمله کشتار جمعی شود، جامعه بین­المللی مسئولیت دارد به حمایت از آن ملت برخیزد.   </em> <em>  </em><em>این مفهوم به هیچ وجه با آموزه­های اسلامی بیگانه نیست و دین مبین اسلام با تاکید بر کرامت انسانی و تدارک برنامه جامعی برای هدایت و سعادت دنیوی و اخروی انسان، موضوع حمایت از مظلوم را حتی بدون در نظر گرفتن ملاحظات اعتقادی سرلوحه برنامه خود قرار داده و حمایت خود از مستضعفان عالم را نه تنها در برابر ظلم و ستم بلکه تا مرز دفاع از فطرت و حیات معقول انسان گسترش داده است. بدین ترتیب، نظریه مسئولیت حمایت با برخی مصادیق «جهاد اسلامی» قابل مقایسه و تطبیق است. فلسفه جهاد در اسلام جنگ مسلحانه و توسعه سرزمینی یا استعماری نیست، بلکه هر نوع کوششی برای پیشبرد اهداف مقدس الهی و مبارزه برای گسترش مساوات اسلامی و زدودن شرک و بت پرستی و نیز حمایت از بقاء جامعه اسلامی یا بعضی از مسلمانان و یا دفاع از سیادت آنهاست. </em> https://lcc.isu.ac.ir/article_75713_6473ca6617d2d495f4ad8dbd0baa7e2b.pdf
