Abstract
The present study aimed to investigate the role of media literacy in the attitude to globalization in between the students of the medicine school of Iran University of Medical Sciences. To this end، the author has been tried provide an answer to this questions that what effect has the level and extent of media literacy of the students on their attitude to the globalization، in three aspects، the unconditional acceptance of globalization، active and critical attitude to the globalization، and the passive attitude to the globalization? present study was a descriptive - correlation survey. The statistical population included students of the Medical Sciences Faculty of Iran University of Medical Sciences. The volume of statistical sample was calculated using an input of the statistical population of the study (N=3800) in the Cochran's formula of the sample size estimation which was 348 persons. An interview was done using an organized questionnaire having provided enough validity and reliability of study which was handed over to 348 students of the University of Medical Sciences. The results of data analysis showed that there is a significant (Sig=0.000) and negative (Sig=-0.321) relationship between media literacy and passive attitude to globalization. As well، the results showed that there is a significant (Sig=0.000) and negative (Sig=-0.401) relationship between the independent variable of media literacy with a positive attitude and unconditional acceptance of globalization، and also there is a significant (Sig=0.000) and positive (Sig=0.401) relationship between variables of media literacy and active attitude to globalization.
