The role of Iran International media in the political unrests of Iran in 1401 (with an emphasis on its X account)

In today's era, the media, centered on virtual social networks, have become an active actor and activist in the political and social developments of societies, and their role in various issues has had many consequences in the real world. Iran International Network is one of these media.who, using his pages on social networks, especially on Twitter, has tried to influence the political unrest of Iran in 2022.The main question of the current research is what was the role of the Iran International media in the formation and continuation of these unrest.With the aim of quantifying the role of Iran International media in the aforementioned unrest, we have analyzed the content of this media on Twitter between September and December 2022 using the method of theme analysis, to seven overarching themes including:"Continuous and purposeful narration of the incident of Mahsa Amini" , "Global reflection of Mahsa Amini's death", "Nationwide protests in Iran", "Iranian government's confrontation with people's protests", "Instability and insecurity in Iran", "Global support for Iranian people's protests" and "Negative effects of protests on Iran's position" We arrived in the world.In social networks, Iran International Media has attempted to frame events centered on the aforementioned themes and by using strategies such as: narration, conceptualization, and highlighting.The findings of this research show that Iran International Media has attempted to frame various events in Iranian society by media framing them.It has been used for the formation of unrest and has played a role as an accelerating and strengthening factor of these unrest.
